A 2026-os magyarországi választáson egyértelmű és legitim eredmény született, a magyar demokrácia történetének harmadik típusú kétharmada. A korábbi kormánypárt is meg tudta őrizni szavazótáborát, de ellenzéke több eszközzel is elérte, hogy sokkal nagyobb legyen társadalmi támogatottsága. E dolgozat hét lehetséges magyarázatot azonosít a választási eredmény okaira, amelyeket adatalapúan elemez.

Possible Reasons for an Extraordinary Election

Summary

The 2026 Hungarian general election produced a clear and legitimate outcome: a third type of two-thirds majority in the history of Hungarian democracy. The former governing party was able to preserve its vote base, yet the opposition, through several means, succeeded in securing considerably broader social support. This paper identifies seven possible explanations for the election result and analyses them empirically.
