Összefoglalás

Torockó évszázadokra visszanyúló gazdag öröksége és hagyományai máig jelentős hatást gyakorolnak az itt élők életére. Ezért jelen kutatással arra kerestük a választ, hogy Toroc- kó hogyan, milyen eszközökkel erősíti a településen élők identitását, a lakosság településhez való kötődését, továbbá hogy Torockó öröksége milyen hatással van a települési és a térségi munkahelyteremtésre, valamint a közösségépítésre. A tanulmányban nyolc interjúalannyal készült interjú válaszait használtuk fel. Az interjúalanyok a település életét meghatározó in- tézmények, szervezetek vezetői és képviselői voltak. A vizsgálat eredményei megerősítették, hogy Torockó példaként szolgál a magyar örökségérték megőrzésében és a magyarságkép formálásában, ugyanis egy olyan megyében található, ahol a magyarok aránya nem éri el a 3%-ot sem. Az itt élők ennek ellenére megtartották a magyar identitásukat, tiszta magyar nyelvet beszélnek és őrzik azt a sok évszázados értékkincset, amelyet az őseik rájuk hagyomá- nyoztak. Az épített és a szellemi örökségre alapozva a turizmus vált a legfontosabb foglalkoz- tató és munkahelyteremtő ágazattá a településen. A lakosságban tudatosult, hogy ezeknek az értékeknek az őrzése az, ami őket évszázadokon át megtartotta. Ezért törekednek ezeket megőrizni és átörökíteni a következő generációknak.

Torockó’s Impact of Built and Intellectual Heritage on the Identity of Its Residents

Summary

Torockó’s rich heritage and traditions, which dates back centuries, still have a significant impact on the lives of its inhabitants. This research therefore has sought to find out how To- rockó strengthens the identity of its inhabitants and their attachment to the municipality, and how Torockó’s heritage influences job creation and community building in the municipality and the region. Interview responses from eight interviewees were used in the study. The inter- viewees were leaders and representatives of institutions and organizations that shape the life of the municipality. The results of the study have confirmed that Torockó is a model for pre- serving Hungarian heritage and shaping the image of Hungarians, as it is located in a county where the proportion of Hungarians is less than 3%. Despite this, the inhabitants have re- tained their Hungarian identity, they speak a pure form of Hungarian language and preserve the centuries-old cultural treasures passed down by their ancestors. Based on the built and intellectual heritage, tourism has become the most important employment and job-creating sector in the settlement. The population has become aware that it is the preservation of these values that has kept them alive for centuries. That is why they strive to preserve them and pass them on to future generations.
